Returns & Refunds Policy

At PaxYou, we want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If you have any issues, please contact us first at [email protected] so we can try to assist you. This policy outlines the conditions under which returns and refunds are processed.

Returns

You have 7 calendar days from the date you received your item (delivery date) to initiate a return for a refund or exchange. If 7 days have passed since delivery, we unfortunately cannot offer you a refund or exchange.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return:

  • Perishable goods (e.g., food items)
  • Magazines
  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable software products or digital goods (once downloaded or accessed)
  • Certain health and personal care items (due to hygiene reasons). Please check the product description to see if an item falls into this category.

Conditions for Return & How to Initiate

To initiate and complete your return, please ensure the following conditions are met:

  • The item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.
  • The item must be in its original packaging.
  • You must provide a receipt or proof of purchase (e.g., order confirmation email or order number).
  • Contact us at [email protected] to initiate the return process. Do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer; all returns should be sent to the address provided by PaxYou customer service upon approval of the return request.

Partial Refunds

In certain situations, only partial refunds may be granted (if applicable) even if returned within the 7-day window:

  • Books with obvious signs of use.
  • CDs, DVDs, or software that has been opened (if not defective).
  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged, or is missing parts for reasons not due to our error (e.g., damaged by the customer after receipt).

Refunds

Once your returned item is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received it. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund based on the inspection and the conditions outlined in this policy.

If your return is approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment (or your PaxYou Account Wallet if preferred and applicable, or to your bank account for payments made via direct bank transfer) within approximately 5-10 business days. The exact timing may depend on your bank’s or card issuer’s policies.

Sale Items

Only regular-priced items are eligible for a refund according to the terms above. Sale items are considered final sale and cannot be refunded. (Optional: You may consider offering exchanges or store credit for sale items if that aligns with your business model – if so, state clearly here).

Exchanges

We only replace items if they arrive defective or damaged. If you need to exchange a defective or damaged item for the same item:

  1. Contact us immediately at [email protected] with your order number, details of the defect or damage, and photographic proof if possible.
  2. We will assess your claim and, if approved, provide instructions for returning the item. The return address may be: 1 Ewumonastery Road, Ewu-Esan, Edo State, Nigeria, or a designated collection point, which will be confirmed by our customer service.

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return once the returned item is received and processed. A gift certificate or code will be emailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver, and they will be informed about the return.

Shipping Costs for Returns

Return Address: After contacting us at [email protected] and receiving return authorization, please mail your product to the address provided by our customer service team.

Cost of Return Shipping: You will be responsible for paying your own shipping costs for returning your item, unless the item was received damaged, defective, or incorrect due to our error (in which case, please contact us to arrange return shipping).

Original shipping costs paid by you when you placed your order are non-refundable.

The time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary depending on your location.

For items valued over ₦150,000 (or its equivalent in USD, e.g., ~$100 USD), we strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item and are not responsible for items lost or damaged in return transit.

Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received an approved refund within the expected timeframe (e.g., 5-10 business days after notification of refund processing):

  1. First, double-check your bank account or original payment method.
  2. Contact your bank or credit card company. There may be a processing delay before your refund is officially posted.
  3. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund, please contact us at [email protected] for assistance.

Important Note Regarding PaxYou Account Wallet Funds

(Business Note: This section details fees for financial operations within the PaxYou Wallet itself, such as withdrawals or transfers. For maximum clarity and legal separation, these terms are often best placed within your main “Terms of Service” or a dedicated “PaxYou Wallet Agreement” rather than within a product returns policy. Including it here as per previous discussion, but ensure customers understand this distinction.)

The PaxYou Account Wallet is a feature allowing you to hold funds for purchases on our platform or receive payouts. Operations involving your Wallet balance may be subject to the following terms and fees:

Wallet Balance Withdrawal to Bank Account

If you request to withdraw funds from your PaxYou Account Wallet to your designated bank account, and this request is approved (“qualifying request”), a fee of 3% of the withdrawal amount shall be charged. This fee will be deducted from the amount being withdrawn or, if applicable, from your remaining wallet balance.

Refund/Reversal of Wallet Top-Up to Bank Account

If you have topped up your PaxYou Account Wallet and request a refund/reversal of those specific unspent top-up funds back to your bank account (distinct from a product refund), and this request is approved (“qualifying request”), a fee of 5% of the amount being refunded/reversed shall be charged. This fee will be deducted from the amount being refunded or your remaining wallet balance.

Customer-to-Customer Wallet Transfer

If you initiate a transfer of funds from your PaxYou Account Wallet to another PaxYou customer’s wallet, and this transfer is approved (“qualifying request”), a fee of 2% of the amount being transferred shall be charged. This fee will be applied to your wallet fund at the time of initiating the transfer.

“Qualifying Requests” for wallet operations are subject to PaxYou’s approval, which may depend on account verification, security checks, compliance with our terms of service, and applicable laws. PaxYou reserves the right to define the criteria for qualifying requests and may update these criteria from time to time.

Returns

We recommend contacting us for assistance if you experience any issues using our products before return considerations are made.

Our policy lasts 7 days. If 7 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. We issue refunds for products within 7 days of the original purchase of the product.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food or magazines cannot be returned.

Additional non-returnable items:

  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable products
  • Some health and personal care items

Non-returnable item like Account Wallet Fund can also be refunded after a written application via email or letter has been received requesting funds in a wallet be returned a designated bank account for qualifying refunds.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

To be eligible for a return,

  • your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.
  • Your item must be in the original packaging.
  • Your item needs to have the receipt or proof of purchase.

There are certain situations however where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable)

Refunds

Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. We will immediately notify you on the status of your refund after inspecting the item. If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your bank account (or original method of payment). You will receive the credit within a certain 5 business days or depending on your card issuer’s/bank policies.

Account Wallet Fund (if applicable)

Wallet Withdrawal Fees

If a qualifying request for funds in a Wallet is required to be withdrawn, upon approval, a 3% fee for the amount being withdrawn shall be charged. The charge will be applied to the remaining wallet fund if applicable or from the amount being requested otherwise.

Wallet Refund Fees

If a qualifying request for funds in a Wallet is required to be refunded, upon approval, a 5% fee for the amount being refunded shall be charged. The charge will be applied to the remaining wallet fund if applicable or from the amount being requested otherwise.

Customer to Customer Wallet Transfer Fees

If a qualifying request for funds in a Wallet is required to be transferred to another customer, upon approval, a 2% fee for the amount being transferred shall be charged. The charge will be applied to the remaining wallet fund if applicable or from the amount being requested otherwise.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your bank or debit/credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

To return your product, you should mail your product to: 1 Ewumonastery Road, Ewu-Esan, ED, Nigeria or a designated collection point given by www.paxyou.com customer service representative.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over ₦150, 000 ($100 USD), you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
